3Ball Productions, LLC, a leading reality television company producing such renowned shows as The Biggest Loser, recently relocated from their former 20,000 square-foot headquarters space at Raleigh Studios, and expanded to occupy a free-standing 37,300 square-foot warehouse in Redondo Beach.
Ross Weintraub, 3Ball’s Chief Operating Officer, explains “we were looking to create a casual and creative space. We’re a “sand and flip flop”; not a “wingtip and boardroom” company.
Having undergone an extensive warehouse-to-office conversion, the single-story warehouse required close collaboration with City of Redondo Beach’s Planning and Building & Safety Department. 3Ball’s new headquarters includes a private screening room, fifty edit bays, operable windows, abundant creative space including a large lunchroom and roll-up garage doors opening onto an outdoor landscaped patio.
The renovations for both interior and exterior include sustainable elements throughout including green workstations and carpet tiles, low VOC paints, the use of natural light and energy efficient lighting and HVAC, and xeri-scape planting for the exterior landscaping and common areas. |
